Privacy Policy — your information, handled properly.

1. Who we are
ScanBuild1 ("we", "us", "our") provides building inspection, spatial capture and the Towers Passport program for residential developers. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we collect
When you book a demo, contact us or work with us, we may collect:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name and role.
- Project information: tower class, project stage, site or project name, and any drawings, plans or timelines you choose to share.
- Meeting information: booking times, guests you invite, and notes from our conversations.
- Site and capture data (for clients): scans, images and 3D models of the properties we capture, which may incidentally include people or personal property.
- Technical information: basic device, browser and referral information (for example, the link or campaign you arrived from).
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our services. You can deal with us without giving your name for general enquiries, but we need your contact details to book a demo.
3. How we use it
- To arrange, confirm, remind you about and follow up your demo or meeting.
- To understand your project and prepare relevant information or proposals.
- To deliver our services, including capture, processing, hosting and handover of spatial data.
- To send marketing updates about Towers Passport, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet our legal, insurance, safety and record-keeping obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business, with providers such as:
- our CRM, calendar and communications platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), and our email and calendar providers;
- our spatial technology and hosting partners, including Real Horizons spatial technology, where needed to deliver your project;
- accounting, payment and professional advisers;
- people you ask us to include, such as guests you add to a booking.
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in a way consistent with the APPs.
5. Storage and security
Information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only as long as it's needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.
6. Access, correction and opting out
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time. Reply STOP to any SMS, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us directly. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
7. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
